Love behind the Wall..

Floatin in a dream world
Love is here
Drifting into reality
Pain is near…
So I clear,
My throat
Never to rest to heavily on hope
Rope…ing my thoughts
And gearing my mind
To find
Courage.
Ill need it.
Strength.
I hope you have it.
Grab it,
The sledge hammer
And go ham against the wall surrounding my heart, Attack
it like rats to cheese
make haste in this rat race
pace yourself at a top speed of forever:mph
devour the bullshit that flies from the blade against the concrete
seek.
No shelter, no don’t hide
this is what u signed up for, so tell me what you feel in side
and ill do the same.
Show me your mind
And ill do the same
Share whispers from your soul
And ill share with you those from mine.
Keep hammering away, never to slow
Ill let you see my vulnerability
If you promise not to go
And if time proves you shall not stammer
Ill reach down and grasp my own hammer..
My swing is heavy, and yours relentless
Together we can bring down my wall
Behind it love can be witnessed.

Defining Success

Success is in the mind of the beholder. It is as simple or complex what anyone wants it to be for themselves. Though I would like to place some boundaries of what I believe all ideologies of success must stay within. I strongly believe that in order to define success for yourself, you must be able to first define yourself. By having an understanding of who you are as an individual will allow you to embrace what it is you truly desire and what in life will bring you happiness. Which brings me to my next parameter; all ideas of success must lead to an overall happiness, self-gratitude, and a strong sense of satisfaction. Of course these feelings will not be by your side 24/7 all day every day, but this must be the overwhelming and consistent feelings of someone who has reached their idea of success.

As for myself, I define success as equaling significance. I desire to positively affect others’ lives, along with financially living a comfortable life, living life to what I deem it’s fullest, and doing right by my family and my faith.

How do you define success?

The Rape Over

What happens to many following
undergrad.

Man is nothing but a walking conundrum. Think about it; generally men want a good girl with a history of innocents, yet while having a naughty side somehow filled with overwhelming experience. And women please don’t even start thinking you’re much different! You all want a guy that’ll treat you good and do right by you, yet yall stay hovering around the doodes who have that dangerous edge.. smh. I digress.

The 21st century job market aka The Rape Over, follows the same trends apparently. Corporate America likes em young, innovative, and energetic. Yet after their whispers of seduction luring you under the corporate sheets, they pause. A look of dissatisfaction across their face. “You don’t have enough experience.”

Its not quantum physics, its simple math. Experience = Job, yet only a Job = experience. Its what some may consider a rotating algorithm. It’s a game just to get into the game, a marathon just to get to the race, a process that truly boils down to who you know and who is willing to take a chance on you. Where are the rewards of education, extra-curriculars, and internships? Is all that effort and time chalked up toe equal no experience?

I surely do not have any of the answers, yet I will allow you to ponder these questions as I have done. I do believe there are loop holes to this rotating algorithm when adding Networking as a key variable. Entry level Corporate America is based on few factors: mainly being trust and performance. Chances are they are unaware of the truth extent of your performance capabilities, so leaning on trust is a must. Network, build that trust, and lie rewardingly under the sheets of corporate America.
